Broken Wheat Pongal

It's been a long time i want to make rava pongal but i haven't got any bookmarked recipes for that. When i was browsing through Champa's recipes i found this delicious broken wheat pongal. Yes Champa is not only known for her baking skills, she is also known for special vegetarian recipes.
If you  want to look for Champa's original recipe click here. There is also a giveaway going on in her blog, it's CSN stores 60 dollars gift card, don't miss that. To know the details of the giveaway click here.
Ingredients:
Broken wheat- 1 1/2 cups
Yellow moong dhal- 1/2 cup
Black pepper corns- 1/2 tsp
Ginger- 1/2 inch piece finely grated
Cumin seeds- 2 tsp
Green chilli- 2 slit lengthways
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Fresh grated coconut- 1/2 tbsp
Oil and ghee mixed- 2 tbsp
Curry leaves- 4 to 5 leaves
Salt as required
Method:
Wash the broken wheat and moong dhal thoroughly in water, add 4 cups of water to it. Pressure cook for 3 whistles. Heat the oil and ghee mix in a pan, add cumin seeds, crushed black pepper corns, finely chopped ginger, green chilli, curry leaves and coconut. Finally add the turmeric powder and salt. Pour the seasoning on top of the  cooked wheat mixture and mix well.
Serve the pongal warm with Coconut Almond Chutney.
I'm submitting this recipe for Champa's Giveaway.
Since this is easy to make and healthy, i'm also sending this to my own event Iftar Moments: Hijri 1431.
