Molten Lava Cake- Sweet Punch For The Month Of October
This is the third punch for me with Sweet Punch. As always I enjoyed making it and eating it. This month our punch is from Divya of EasyCooking. The chosen recipe is Molten lava Cake.
When it comes to any chocolate based desserts it will definitely be a winner in a dinner party. Since chocolate is been loved by people of all ages. This particular dessert molten lava cake, which has a chocolate melt down in the middle is simply irresistible.
Hot pudding with cold ice cream is just time to sit and relax or even for a romantic evening ;-)
Thank you Divya for this delicious punch. If you want to join Sweet punch and have all these delicious sweet delicacies click here.
Serve 3 to 4
Preparation Time: 30 to 40 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 to 15 minutes
Ingredients:
Semisweet chocolate- 110 g or 4.5 ounces ( I used a mix of both milk and dark chocolate)
Butter- 110 g or 4.5 ounces
Sugar- 75 g or 3 ounces
Plain flour- 40 g or 1.8 ounces
Eggs- 2
Vanilla extract- 1 tsp( optional)
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius.
Melt the chocolate in a bowl sitting on top of simmering water. Once the chocolate is melted, take the bowl from the pan, add the butter and stir until the butter gets melted completely.
In a separate bowl beat the eggs, sugar and extract until pale and fluffy. Slowly add the chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and stir until it's combined.
Then sift the flour to this mixture and mix it together.
Grease 3 to 4 ramekins with butter, dust it with flour and cocoa powder. Pour the mixture into the ramekins equally. I was able to get only 3, it depends upon the size of your ramekins.
Bake it in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes. If you want the inner part to be cooked and not gooey, then leave it in the oven for another 5 to 10 minutes.
But believe me the gooey part is simply irresistible.
Serve the pudding while they are still hot with some vanilla ice cream.

Awesome, I think you are the only one that captured the hot cake with cold ice cream. BTW, what is the red sauce that you plated the cake on?
